Support for students aged 16 - 19
Eligible students are:
- 16 - 19 years of age (18 when you begin the course)
- Household income less than £27,000 per annum
- 90% attendance - checked monthly
and these students can get:
Travel
UCB can provide a travel pass to support with your travel to College. UCB can provide support with bus, tram and train.
Meal Support
UCB can support with meals whilst at College. They will provide £3.50 per day attended for meals. This will be added to your student ID card and you can spend it on the catering outlets on campus.
Uniform and Equipment
If you're:
- On a Creative Services or College of Food course
- Household income less than £31,000 per annum
UCB can support with the cost of your essential uniform and equipment.
19+ STUDENTS
Travel
- Household income less than £31,000 per annum
UCB can provide a travel pass to support with your travel to and from College. UCB can provide support with bus, tram and train.
Childcare
- Students aged 20+
- Household income of less than £31,000 per annum
UCB can support with childcare for up to two children. UCB can support with up to a maximum of £100 per week per child for teaching weeks only.
Uniform and Equipment
- On a Creative Services or College of Food course
- Household income less than £31,000 per annum
Then UCB can support with the cost of your essential uniform and equipment.
All eligible students
IT Access
Students who are eligible for for financial support can also borrow a laptop if they do not have access to one at home.
Out of County Travel
If you live outside of the West Midlands and the household income is below £31,000 per annum UCB can support with travel costs.
