Below is information on local public transport and parking information to ensure that you are able to get to and from University College Birmingham. 

Travelling By Car & Discounted Parking 

You can park at the Newhall Street car park using the NCP Park Pass App. To access this discount, you need to download the NCP Park Pass app here.

Travelling by Bus

Birmingham has fantastic bus and coach connections, and the Guild has got your back. We're the only location on campus where you can purchase bus passes using Kickstart funding. Visit us at the Guild shop to order a 4-week pass (£46) or a term-long pass (£90). 

Both passes are available on all of the major operators within the Birmingham area. If you order a 4-week pass, we can also specify a starting date to help you plan ahead and make the most of the ticket. 

Cycling

There are various ways for you to access a bike to cycle around Birmingham. The City Council provide short-term free cycle hire if you hold a Birmingham City Council Leisure Card. There are also folding Brompton Bikes avalilable for hire accross Birmingham from as little as £3.50 a day. 

By Foot 

UCB Guild of Students is based in the heart of the Jewellery Quarter and is easily accesible on foot from the city centre, including only a 10 minute walk from Birmingham New Street Station.

Transport for West Midlands provide Student travel discounts in a variety of ways including weekly and monthly tickets.

National Rail provide information on rail travel accross the U.K. and has a helpful rail planner on their website. National Rail also provide discounted rail travel for 16-25 year olds with their 16-25 Railcard. They also provide other discounts, please see their railcard website for more information.
