In 2018, the law changed in relation to personal data. New GDPR regulations mean that we must ensure data is kept safely and is not used unlawfully. 

You rights and responsibilities as a student at UCB can be found in this video. All Society Leaders must watch and understood this information to ensure they are compliant. 

As a Society Leader, you must: 

• Not share the data of your members
• Only use the Guild website to communicate with members through the messaging function. You can of course have groups on social media or WhatsApp, however, students must have the opportunity to join rather than be pressured/added in the first instance.
