UCB Basketball is open to all HE students of any ability. Whether you have played basketball previously, or would like to take up a new sport. The society trains at the Maltings Sports Hall on Monday evenings. Check the events section for more details.
Membership costs £100 for the year, which includes training costs, insurance and competition entry. The team currently competes in the BUCS league as well as a developmental team in YBL (Your Basketball League) with home matches on Wednesdays and Sundays.

We provide playing kit and team tee early in the year, and you'll have the chance to buy personlised kit in the near future. This is optional, so don't feel under pressure to do this. Although you can play basketball in trainers, it would be advisable to have a pair of basketball shoes specifically for this.
Your Basketball England Licence (a compulsory requirement) is included in your membership fee, as well as insurance, coaching and travel to fixtures.
Upon registration to the team, please complete read the Code of Conduct (in the resources section) and complete the UCB Team Sports - Registraion Questionnaire. This is compulsory and includes medical information, tee shirt sizing and code of conduct agreement.
All playing members must also download the BUCS Play app (from the App Store/Google Play Store), register with the sport community and your team.
