We are University College Birmingham's Rugby Team, we play games all year long against universities in and around the midlands.

We as a team do not ask any previous experience from players, our team members range from full international players to people who had never picked up a rugby ball before so have no fear, feel free to come and join us whether it be for training, match day support or at our social events and fundraisers. We would higly recommend any new comers to uni to join us to make life long friends, compete against other universities and learn a great sport in the process.

We accept all people of all standards and will involve you all in what we do, joining our society will get you involved in the best of what the unversity has to offer socially and competitively as well as the added bonus of a fun way to keep fit through out the year.

We as a team have high hopes for the coming year and look forward to having our members new and old help us achieve them, whether thats through participation or support.

The team trains weekly with a qualified coach and welcomes new members at the Avery Fields on Monday evenings between 7pm and 8pm.

Membership costs £100 for the year as a Team Player, which includes training costs, insurance and competition entry. The first team currently competes in the BUCS league (matches on Wednesdays). 

We provide playing kit and team tee early in the year, and you'll have the chance to buy personlised kit in the near future. This is optional, so don't feel under pressure to do this. Our home matches are played on a 4G pitch, so make sure your boots are suitbale for this. You will need to provide your own playing socks - navy is the colour of choice. 

Upon registration to the team, please complete read the Code of Conduct (in the resources section) and complete the UCB Team Sports - Registraion Questionnaire. This is compulsory and includes medical information, tee shirt sizing and code of conduct agreement.

All playing members must also download the BUCS Play app (from the App Store/Google Play Store), register with the sport community and your team.

Or £5 for the Year if you just want to be a Society member which will cover your social fees for the year (excluding any trips or player paid events)
